Human Resource and Employment Law Programs

We offer an extensive suite of training topics and provide solutions that meet your specific learning needs and budget objectives. We can also provide support before and after the session(s) to allow you to get the most from your training investment.

Fresh Biz Solutions® offers a number of Human Resource and Employment Law classes for business owners, supervisors, and professionals. These simple and efficient classes are typically 2-4 hours in length and provide participants with the practical knowledge needed to avoid difficult, and possibly legally damaging, situations.

We can also customize and combine individual modules or classes into a comprehensive program to meet your specific needs and goals.

Some popular examples of these programs include:

  • Employment Law Basics - How to Avoid Litigation Landmines, a full-day program geared towards those new to the role of supervising others and those wishing to revisit some fundamental legal knowledge needed to avoid potential legal issues. The program covers a wide area that helps participants understand key legislative topics, and the impact these have on the employee, the employer, and the business.
  • Embracing Workplace Diversity, a half-day program that helps participants understand the term diversity and its dimensions; recognize the many opportunities that exist by embracing diversity in the workplace, as well as the obstacles;  and create an action plan for embracing diversity in the workplace.
  • Understanding the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), a 2-hour program designed for supervisors, managers, and anyone responsible for employee attendance. Participants learn how to define the act, communicate eligibility requirements, articulate some commonly covered incidents, and identify potential situations when employees are absent.
  • Avoiding Sexual Harassment, a full-day program that gives participants the opportunity to review the legal definition of sexual harassment and differentiate between situations that satisfy the legal definition and those that don't. The program also explores the different attitudes and reactions to sexual harassment, while providing some preventative measures available to protect the individual and the organization.
